Hi, I’m Meo Veldhuizen.

Thanks for visiting, allow me introduce myself.

I am a native of the Netherlands where I studied architecture and enginering before coming to the United States. For the past 30 years I have lived and worked in Litchfield County. Always looking for new challenges, I have turned some of my energy to wards abstract painting as well as creating pieces of clean modern furniture. This website will highlight some of my latest work in both areas.

As an painter, I like to experiment with different styles and techniques as well as color.  It’s a way of broadening one’s horizon and the path to discovery. At times I’ll use colors that naturally complement each other. But sometimes it’s fun to put colors together that are just a little “off” to see where it leads me. It can make for an interesting canvas or a frustrating experience. Both ways you come out ahead.
